Experience

35 years of Personnel Experience. Military experience is from base-level, two different MAJCOMS (USEUCOM and HQ PACAF) and from working at AFPC in the assignments division. Civilian experience is from directing civilian personnel matters for 96 civilians for 10 years and for being the civilian personnel liaison for 66 civilians for 12 years. I have 28 years working with Unit Manpower Documents (UMD) and am fully versed in how to restructure an organization in order to make it more efficient. I used the Organizational Change Request (OCR) and the Authorization Change Request (ACR) process to restructure units.

My Story. Almost 24 years as an active enlisted personnelist, retiring as a SMSgt. Nine of those years were working in assignments. I enjoyed sending people to places they really wanted to go. The most satisfaction I got was when I worked with Join Spouse matters. I worked really hard to keep families together as they PCS'd. As a civilian I spent 11 years as the Director of Mission Support as a GS-12 civilian. I found joy in helping people manage their careers and helping people get hired in civil service. I was always looking to see who was the next person to be promoted, recognized or rewarded. It didn't matter if the person directly worked for me or not. If there was someone in a different organization that was doing excellent work, I did what I could to get that person recognition.
